Terms of service

The rules for using Farut: the browser extension, the app, the calculation service, the subscription and its limits.

The service

Farut is a browser extension and an app for iPhone and Android that add tools to the EA SPORTS FC Ultimate Team Web App, with an online calculation service for Squad Building Challenges. The app opens the Web App with Farut inside it, in a space reserved for each club. Using Farut requires a Farut account; the same account, subscription and UT account limits apply to the extension and the app. Farut is independent and not affiliated with Electronic Arts.

Subscription

Farut offers one paid plan, the Farut subscription, monthly or yearly. On farut.app, it costs €5.99 per month or €47.99 per year and includes the squad-building tools, card details and SBC calculations with no daily limit, one at a time, on at most 2 UT accounts. The price and content are shown on the pricing page and repeated on the payment page before you order. Prices include VAT; the payment page may show the amount in your local currency. In the Farut app, the same plan is sold by Apple or Google at the prices set in their stores: see Subscribing in the app.

A UT account is the Ultimate Team club of the EA account you open in the Web App. You can remove one of the UT accounts your Farut account covers once every 30 days, from app.farut.app or the Farut app, to free its place for another. The removed UT account cannot come back to your Farut account for 30 days.

Your Farut account gets one free trial of every feature for 72 hours, without payment or card. It starts the first time you use the extension on a UT account while signed in to that Farut account, not when the Farut account is created. UT accounts you use during the trial share it. A UT account that has had a trial never gets another one, even with another Farut account. When the trial ends, the free plan keeps the other tools. This trial applies only to the extension: it is never started or available in the Farut app.

On farut.app, the subscription is sold through Link: Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe affiliate, is the merchant of record for your purchase and acts on behalf of the publisher. Link charges the payment, sends you the receipt and invoice in its own name, and calculates, collects and remits VAT. Your payment to Link counts as payment to the publisher, who remains responsible for the Farut service. You pay by card or another method offered on the payment page, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link; the publisher never receives your card number. Your bank statement shows a label starting with LINK.COM*. Your order is also governed by Link’s terms: https://link.com/terms.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, until you stop it. For the yearly subscription, Farut emails you a dedicated reminder between three months and one month before each renewal, with the deadline to stop it; Link also sends you its own reminder. After each payment, Link emails you the receipt and invoice, which you can also view on link.com.

You cannot switch from monthly to yearly during a paid period: stop the monthly subscription, then subscribe yearly when the paid period ends.

You can stop the subscription online at any time from app.farut.app/billing, from your Link account on link.com, or without signing in from the cancellation form at app.farut.app/cancel, linked at the foot of every page. Stopping takes effect at the end of the paid period: the paid tools stay available until then, then the account returns to the free plan. A yearly subscription that has already renewed can also be stopped at any time with one month’s notice, through that form or by writing to support; Farut then refunds the unused part of the paid year. Otherwise the current period is not refunded, except on withdrawal, in the cases provided by law, or where Link’s refund policy grants a refund.

If a payment fails, it is retried over the following days. The paid tools stay available for 3 days after the failure; after that, the account uses the free plan until a payment goes through.

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason. You then get a full refund, with the payment method used, within 14 days of your request.

To withdraw before the deadline, contact Link support at https://support.link.com and give "cooling off period" as the reason, or send a clear statement to the publisher at support@farut.app, for example using this template:

  • For the attention of Yvhan MOUAFO YO EI (Farut), M2 c/o YEMELI, 12 impasse de la Vallée, 78800 Houilles, France, support@farut.app:
  • I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract for the following service: Farut subscription … (monthly or yearly).
  • Subscribed on: …
  • Consumer’s name: …
  • Consumer’s address: …
  • Farut account email address: …
  • Date: …

Stopping the subscription is not a withdrawal: it only prevents renewal. The right of withdrawal does not apply to a subscription taken out for the needs of a business.

Subscribing in the app

In the Farut app for iPhone and Android, the Farut subscription, monthly or yearly, is an in-app purchase sold by Apple on the App Store or by Google on Google Play. The store is the seller: it charges the payment with the payment method of your Apple Account or Google account, under its own terms, and Farut never receives your payment details. The plan includes the same tools and limits as on farut.app, but in-app prices are set in the stores and may differ from those on farut.app. The price, in your currency, is shown in the app before you confirm the purchase.

If your store account is eligible, the store offers new subscribers a 3-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends (on the App Store, at least 24 hours before), the subscription then starts at the price shown. The 72-hour Farut account trial is never available in the app.

An in-app subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the store’s price, until you cancel it. You manage and cancel it at any time in your store: on iPhone, in Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period. Deleting the app or your Farut account does not cancel it. If the store cannot charge a renewal, the paid tools stay available during the grace period the store grants.

Refunds, and withdrawal where the law provides it, are requested from Apple or Google, under their own rules.

A subscription bought in the app also unlocks the extension and the website with the same Farut account, and a subscription taken on farut.app is recognised in the app. A store purchase stays with the Farut account that made it: restoring purchases while signed in to another Farut account does not move it. The publisher, not Apple or Google, is responsible for the app and the Farut service, including its support.

Your responsibility

You decide which squads you save and submit in the Web App. Use of third-party tools may conflict with EA's terms; EA's decisions about your EA account are outside Farut's control.

Availability

Calculations can be refused when limits are reached or the service is unavailable. Farut does not promise a result for every challenge or that a squad is the cheapest possible unless it says the result is a proven optimum.

Complaints and mediation

Write to support@farut.app first. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim before the court where you live. Consumer mediator: appointment in progress.

Language

These terms are written in French and translated into other languages. If the versions differ, the French version prevails.
